The agave Yuccaschidigera or Mojave Yucca is a native species of the southern deserts of the US and the north of Mexico and thus well adapted to dry climate. Adult lignified stems of the succulent plant grow up to four meters.
The Yucca Extract is derived mainly from wild collections of the Mojave Yucca plant in Baja California. The stems are squeezed out and the sap is filtered and purified. The content of steroidal sapogenin may vary and is about 9% in the extract.
This natural herbal surfactant shows foaming, dispersing, flavour enhancing, emulsifying as well as purifying properties. Hence these diverse qualities make the 100% natural Yucca Extract perfectly suitable for a wide range of applications especially for natural cosmetics.
The Yucca Extract is available as liquid in certain qualities or as conventionally spray dried fine powder.
